Count Your Blessings Instead of Sheep

I'm back from Boston, where I spent a couple days visiting friends, Christmas shopping, and hanging out with my twin sister. Unfortunately I brought a cold back with me and at this very moment my white blood cells are waging an epic battle for my health.

To cheer them on, I'm going to eat fudge and watch White Christmas.

Happy Friday!

  1. Feel better soon. (Although if it does take a while, you'll have plenty of "White Christmas" to get you through. There seems to have been a marathon of it on TCM the past few days.)

  2. Ok, for some reason your posts don't show up in my reader until like two days later. Anyway, hope you're feeling better by now.

By the way, WHITE CHRISTMAS is perhaps the silliest movie ever. Our favorite part, which I imagine may also be yours, is the "sisters, sisters, have you ever seen such devoted sisters?" bit. God help the mister, etc etc. Oh man, I'm giggling just thinking about it.

  4. First, it's a lifelong dream of mine and Melissa's to perform "Sisters" somewhere so yes it's a favorite!! Although my absolute favorite scene is when Vera-Ellen wears the yellow turtleneck sweater dress and rehearses a dance number before discovering that Rosemary/ Betty has taken a job at the Carousel Club...was that waaay too much information?

Also, your word verification is AWESOME. Oh Internet, methinks you have a sense of humor.

  6. Um, yes, this is a fantastic idea. And can we work them into Sirens somehow. Oh! A sisters themed Sirens...

Also, found the clip! Apparently I can't embed it in the comments so here's the link: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zVS2XalMsm8

Also, thank you everyone for the well wishes!! They were very much appreciated : )
