A Dickensonian Moment?

Probably the best thing about working in the Prudential Tower in downtown Boston is the view. I'm up decently high and can see all across the city.

Right now it's gloomy out but white light is infusing the city with a strange glow below the dark clouds. It's as if the city has a halo. The gold-topped state house is a beacon of light in the somber afternoon.

I feel like I've stepped into a Charles Dickens novel. The lit police might arrest me for saying that because I've never actually read Dickens (I know and I'm a total anglophile and everything! I practically majored in Brit Lit. But I'm more Chaucer than Charles D. But I digress).

It's lovely and sad. Wish you could see it!
